No Fox Soccer Plus for Cablevision Subscribers

Posted by John P. on January 25, 2010

I’m too lazy to find the email I got from Cablevision customer service but it said that Cablevision did not currently have a contract to carry Fox Soccer Plus. Great.

Cablevision needs competition, they are pathetic. Taking away channels and still paying more. I HATE CABLEVISION.

CV has always done pretty well by me. The came out and fixed a connectivity problem at the pole without a fuss and ran a new line to my point of service. The city I live in now has Verizon FioS so there’s now an alternative but frankly, the uptime on phone and internet service has been superb with CV. Plus, I prefer the devil I know to the one I don’t know.

Cablevision sucks. Really it does. I used to have FIOS for last 2 years and had to switch to cablevision as i moved elsewhere and FIOS was not available there. I can’t stop complaining how bad Cablevision is. Everything is inferior to FIOS, the TV, Phone and Internet. All of them.

Now regarding sports channels, they don’t have NFL network and no FSC in HD or Fox Soccer Plus. They claim to have NJ12 news though, wow!!!

I can’t wait to go back to FIOS once they become available in my area.

Does FioS carry FSC in HD or Fox Soccer Plus?

No, it does not. Most cable companies don’t. The satellite companies do, but they suck way worse than cable companies. Cablevision isn’t as good as Time Warner (a bit slow on the guide and no ability to search shows by name), but their service has been exceptional (easy to get appointments and they always fix anything). Maybe if there was enough demand to drop the crap HD channels like QVC they’d have bandwith for football.

CableVision doesn’t have NFL Network right now because the NFL has a contract to keep the channel off of Cable providers. I don’t know however if CableVision would have it even if they could though.

cablevision as more repetitive chanel than anything else. It’s really out of touch with the customer. Customers do not have their money worth. They need to restructure the Company to get things right.

Good news (at least news to me). Fox Soccer Plus showed up on my cablevision guide last weekend (channel 461 in my neck of the woods). It’s a SD feed and part of the additional Sports Package at $7 per month.

It sounds like Fox Soccer Plus is pretty important to you. As a DISH Network employee/subscriber I can tell you that DISH does carry Fox Soccer Plus along with a ton of other programming options. You may want to give DISH a look so you can get all your favorite channels.

Cable now has Fox Soccer PLus. It’s $6.95 a month and it’s on channel 798 if you have a hi-def box.

    That’s Cablevision.
